Dr. Greer, DVM, JD, Fear Free Certified – Director of Veterinary Services
Dr. Greer received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1978 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1981 from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. In 1982, she established Brownsville Small Animal Clinic in Dr. Griffith’s practice building and later moved the practice to Lomira in 1988, where it continues to thrive.
With a special interest in pediatrics and reproduction, Dr. Greer has been a pioneer in canine reproductive medicine. In 1998, she bred the clinic’s first litter using frozen semen, and in 2002 she opened the International Canine Semen Bank – Wisconsin/Illinois (ICSB-WI/IL). She is also PennHIP certified and has enhanced breeding success through the use of in-house quantitative progesterone testing.
Dr. Greer’s professional contributions include pharmaceutical and nutritional research in collaboration with Abbott Laboratories, Deprenyl Animal Health, Pfizer, Virbac, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. She has been featured in Veterinary Economics for her work in the field. In 2005, she was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to the Veterinary Examining Board of the Department of Safety and Professional Services, serving for eight years.
In 2010, Dr. Greer earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School and currently practices part-time with her law partner, Attorney Sheila Kessler, at Animal Legal Resources LLC. She is the author of Canine Reproduction and Neonatology, a 470-page comprehensive guide that won the Dog Writers Association of America's Dogwise Best Book Award in 2014. In 2020, she published Your Pandemic Puppy, a guide to raising a well-adjusted puppy during a global pandemic.
Dr. Greer became a Fear Free Certified Professional in 2019 and is a strong advocate for reducing stress in pets during veterinary visits. She and her team use techniques such as offering treats like peanut butter or chicken baby food to help make each visit as comfortable as possible for both pets and their owners.
She and her husband, Dr. Daniel Griffiths, have two grown children: Katy, who is married to Tim, a Ph.D. student in entomology at Purdue University, and Karl, who is married to Kelly. The family also raises and shows Pembroke Welsh Corgis and Danish Swedish Farmdogs, and has raised five puppies for Canine Companions for Independence.
Dr. Greer remains active in the veterinary and local community. She is a member of the AVMA, NEWVMA, AAVSB, APDT, AAFP, SVME, the Society for Theriogenology, the Fond du Lac Kennel Club, the Kettle Moraine Kennel Club, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America, the Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Kennel Club, and the Lomira Area Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, the American Veterinary Medical Law Association, and the Society for Theriogenology. In addition, she is the current president of the National Animal Interest Alliance.
Most recently, Dr. Greer has joined Revival Animal Health as Director of Veterinary Services, where she will be providing exclusive articles and resources for pet owners and professionals alike.
Outside of her professional roles, Dr. Greer is a passionate foodie, an avid cook, and a creative soul who enjoys knitting, shopping, and repurposing just about anything. While known for her dedication to veterinary medicine, she does occasionally trade her surgical scrubs for regular clothes—and even gets some sleep. Her favorite comfort food? Macaroni and cheese made with sharp cheddar, best paired with a great beer.

Practice Manager
Nicole Hoffman’s passion for veterinary medicine began in elementary school, where she first envisioned herself as a veterinary technician. She pursued this dream by earning her associate’s degree in veterinary technology from Madison Area Technical College in 2005 and successfully passing her national certification exam that same year.
The first five years of Nicole’s career were spent in various general practices, including a brief period at Marshall Pet Care. She then dedicated a decade to the UW Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where she served as a float technician across Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM), Cardiology, and Neurology, eventually securing a full-time position in Neurology.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nicole temporarily transitioned from veterinary medicine to work for Medicaid, allowing her to support her two children as they engaged in distance learning. However, her passion for veterinary medicine called her back, leading her to a staff trainer role with Dr. Greer’s practices. In this position, Nicole focused on elevating the knowledge and skills of the staff, driven by her love for teaching and her commitment to exceptional patient care.
Outside the clinic, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their array of animals, including cats, chickens, and horses. She is deeply involved in her children's extracurricular activities, such as rodeo, wrestling, and dance. A creative soul, Nicole has a passion for crafting and enjoys working with various forms of media.
As a Wisconsin native who loves summer and strongly dislikes winter, Nicole is thrilled to be back at Marshall Pet Care, bringing high-quality veterinary medicine to this wonderful community.
